Hygienic bin emptying means you don't have to touch the dirt. The V8 has whole machine HEPA filtration to capture allergens and expel cleaner air than you normally breath.
Both machines come in various configurations. With the Cyclone V10 you can purchase the Absolute, Animal, or Motorhead. The Absolute and Animal are different in that the Animal includes less tool attachments. The Motorhead contains less tool attachments as well as a smaller bin size and a direct drive cleaner head instead of the new Torque drive cleaner head. The V8 comes in Absolute and Animal. Dyson Torque Drive vs Direct DriveThe Dyson torque drive vs direct drive refers to the cleaner head technology on the cordless vacuums. The new torque drive is included on both the Cyclone V10 Absolute and Animal models. The Cyclone V10 Motorhead and previous models all use the direct drive cleaner head technology. Dyson claims the new cleaner head removes 25% more dust. This comes from the torque drive creating more power to dig deeper and harder into the surface for dirt and dust. The torque drive is in the cleaner head only and not the soft roller. |
